In any game, there will be some rules; some make sense looking at the context of the game and others; well they make absolutely no sense at all. Strap yourself in because this is going to be a rough ride.
Number 1. You can’t score an own goal if you do a throw-in or a free kick unless it touches someone on the way. If it happens for a reason or another that you send it in the goal, it would be a corner kick for the opposing team.
Number 2. It is possible to get a red or yellow card before the game starts if you commit a foul (Example: Evra got a red card for fighting with a spectator) but you are allowed to replace the player for the kick-off and have a full starting 11.
Number 3. If an object or person touches the ball (not the players, obviously) it counts as an interference. Even if the ball goes in, it will still count as an interference, unless the referee makes an exception.
Number 4. Your undershorts or underwear have to be the same color as your shorts.
Number 5. If a player gets substituted and refuses to leave the field, the game will continue as normal; just as if nothing ever happened.
Number 6. During a penalty shootout, both teams have to have the same amount of players shooting.
Number 7. If the flags are not there for the game, the game will be canceled. They also bypass the interference rule. They act like a goal post; if hit by the ball and it goes back in the game, it is still in play.
Number 8. The ball has some regulations to be used in a game. The size of it must be 70 cm in diameter and round. It also must be properly inflated or else the game will be paused.
Number 9. The celebration of a goal/win can not be inappropriate, waste time, or annoy the other team’s fans.
Number 10. When the goalkeeper catches the ball, they have to kick it back or pass it within 6 seconds.
