What is Badminton?

Written by: Theophile, reporter in ISFM

In this article, we’ll be talking about the history of badminton.

Badminton first was a chinese sport played with your palm and a shuttlecock (a shuttlecock is a sort of triangular ball with an open bottom, and holes in the side)  . Many years later, rackets were added to the game. In the years 2000, the game now has a racket for each player, an elevated net, and of course a shuttlecock. The point of the game is to hit the shuttlecock over the net to the other player, and you make points by your opponent missing the shuttlecock. Kind of like in tennis. Lee Chong Wei is considered the best badminton player, but Peter Hoeg Gade is really good too. The badminton US open championship is very popular, and lots of players go there.
