This is the Ballon d’Or 70th anniversary! Who will win the 2026 Ballon d’Or? That is the question that everyone is asking. This year’s Ballon d’Or is coming up on October 26 and there are many contenders that have a strong chance of taking the trophy home.
Lamine Yamal:
Lamine yamal had a wonderful 25/26 season with Barcelona and the Spanish national team while winning the World Cup, LaLiga and the Supercopa. He had an impressive 25 goals and 20 assist (45 *G/A in total).
Kylian Mbappe:
Last year Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid went trophyless. Nevertheless Kylian Mbappe still had a wonderful season with 71 G/A. A lot of people do not think he will win because he went trophyless but that is not entirely true. In 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or while being trophyless so it is always possible
Harry Kane:
Last year Harry Kane won the domestic treble with Bayern Munich by winning the Bundesliga,the DFB Pokal and the DFL Supercup he also got 3rd place in the World Cup with England. Last year Harry Kane had 79 G/A in total and many people are favoring him to win this years Ballon d’Or because of his team and individual achievements.
Michael Olise:
Last year Olise really shocked the world with a record breaking season while getting fourth in the World Cup and winning the domestic treble with Bayern Munich. He also broke the all time assist record of World Cup history and also broke the all time record of assists in one season with 37 assits. His total tally of goals and assists ended as 58.
These are the players that everyone thinks has a very good chance to win the Ballon d’Or
As the ceremony is arriving every player is tensing up wondering if it will be their year.
