In 1883 the Dodgers team was created in Brooklyn. The Dodgers moved to LA,California in the winter of 1957-1958. Jackie Robinson was part of the Dodgers.He was the first black player in major league baseball. In 1955, the Brooklyn Dodgers won their first world series by beating the Yankees. At LA they won six world series. The rivals of the Dodgers are the San Diego Padres and the New York Yankees. The San Francisco Giants are also great rivals. In the first years of competition, the Dodgers were nicknamed the Bridegrooms. Some people also nicknamed them the kings.
