History
Axe throwing was invented in the medieval times, knights and vikings used to have them for combat. Vikings even carved symbols and patterns on the axe’s blades. Lumberjacks also used axes to cut wood. Some people think that axe throwing was invented by the native americans. It wasn’t invented by them, but the natives did use it too.
No specific person actually got credits to create axe throwing but multiple people like Nicolas Thering* and Matt Wilson** helped make axe throwing better.
Gear/Techniques
For axe throwing you normally don’t need a lot of equipment.
Axe throwing is safer and better outside so you should try doing it in a yard. In certain places they have terrains for axe throwing. Place a bull’s eye target against the wall. Of course you also need axes to throw. To throw the axes you need to hold the axe with both hands and lift it above your head then throw it against the target.
Accomplishments/Conclusion
Axe throwing is very popular in Texas, USA and other places. In Texas they even have a league; it is called the Backyard Axe Throwing League, abbreviated BATL. Most people who don’t play axe throwing think axe throwing is easy but it isn’t easy at all actually. Axe throwing is a very interesting sport!
