Sports during the Covid-19 lockdown

In this article, we’ll be talking about how sports were like during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Introduction

We all know that Covid striked in January of 2020, and every single person had to stay in their house in the period of time called the “lockdown”. Well, in this article we’ll be talking about what sports meant back then: Were they still watched? Were they still played? Were the players wearing masks?

Impact

Around 170 countries out of 195 worldwide had to cancel their tournaments because of Covid. Some countries that still participated in tournaments didn’t allow live spectators in their stadiums. Of course, any fan would do anything just to get a TV to watch their favorite team. (Actually, people would do anything to get a roll of Toilet-Paper, not a TV…) The sports who still played at all, made sure they were playing in open air. Those who weren’t playing outside, had to wear masks inside. A few players got sick from covid, and couldn’t play for their team.

Conclusion

I don’t know about you, but I wonder what it was like during covid for athletes.
