In this article, we’ll be talking about Edrice Adedayo.

This basketball star kept a promise to his mother he made early on: he was going to make it in the NBA and buy her a house. This determined and skilled center is the epitome of an inside player in the NBA, so it did not come as a surprise when he signed a $163 million contract with the Miami Heat. His full name is Edrice Femi Adebayo, but he was nicknamed “Bam” when he was only one year old, and evidently it stuck. He was watching an episode of the Flintstones with his mother, Marilyn Blount, when he flipped over a coffee table- reminding Blount of “Bamm-Bamm” Rubble, a character in the show known for his impressive strength. On defense, he might remind some people of “Bamm-Bamm”. But on offense, he is an intelligent basketball player who always seems to find a way to help bring his team success. Bam spent his childhood with his mother in a single wide trailer in North Carolina, and he started playing basketball in his neighborhood. By the time he was 13 years old, he was 6’6” and incredibly fast. In high school, he quickly became One of the most promising recruits. He went to the University of Kentucky, but it only took one season there for this promising young player to get noticed. He was picked by the Heat in the first round of the 2017 draft. When he joined the Miami Heat, he hung a picture of the trailer in his locker. After being drafted by the Heat, Bam invited his mother to come live with him in Miami. He didn’t purchase the house he had promised her right away. He wanted to wait until he signed a bigger contract. And on  Marilyn Blount’s 56th birthday, Bam took his mother to her new house. He had placed a picture of the trailer in the foyer, because he wanted everyone who came into the house to see where he came from.
