Swimming is very useful, you are not going to drown if you swim. There are multiple techniques to swim; there is the crawl where you move your arms in circles and you use your legs to move forward. There is the backstroke which is the crawl on your back. The crawl is maybe the most used swimming technique, but there is also the breaststroke and the butterfly. Swimming is a sport in the Olympics. In the Olympics, Léon Marchand, a french athlete, won 4 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Caleb Dressel is the fastest swimmer. He has 9 gold medals and one silver medal. Michel Phelps has 23 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Mark Spitz is a very good swimmer. Ian Thorpe is so fast that we called him the torpedo. Swimming is a great sport!
