In this article, we’ll be talking about base jumping.
What is base Jumping
Base jumping is a super dangerous and extreme sport. It is a sport where you jump from an airplane or a cliff/steep mountain with a parachute or a *wingsuit and glide through the air.
History
It was officially created in 1978 by Carl Ronald Boenish, also known as the father of modern base jumping. Before that, it was an illegal sport. People used to go to the top of a skyscraper and jump with a parachute or wingsuit. When they get to the bottom, they run away. It wasn’t until 1978.
How to perform
If you wanna learn how to base jump, you first need to become a professional skydiver. Then you can go do the real thing. The steps are simple, but when you come face to face with jumping off a plane, or a cliff, it’s really scary. For the landing, on top of the wingsuit, you use a parachute to deploy before landing.
Gear and materiel
This sport requires a lot of gear, including: a parachute or wingsuit, and helmet. In the end, there isn’t much you would need. The wingsuit is made out of ripstop nylon for the surf
the legs are connected to each other.
