In this article, we’ll be talking about Simone Biles.
Intro
Simone Biles, the American gymnast, grew up in Spring, Texas after being adopted by her grandparents.
Simone Biles is a very good gymnast, and yes if you wonder, Simone Biles is widely the best gymnast in the world and often considered as the greatest gymnast of all time.
About Simone Biles
Simone was born on March 14, 1997 and started gymnastics for the first time at 6 years old in 2003. She is 4-foot and 8 inches. She has 25 medals, 19 of them are gold from the world championship and 4 of them are gold from the olympics. In total she has 32 medals if we count the bronze, and one of the reasons she got all of these is by training 35 hours each week. Besides gymnastics, her passions are reading, history, shopping and spending time with her friends. She still has to work seriously and hard.
Her favorite event is the floor.
The floor has a bouncy floor but not like a trampoline.
She does a routine on the floor that people have never done before or that only men do.
What is also crazy is that she won the championship at only 16 years old and she is now 27.
Problems in her life
One of the most difficult challenges Simone Biles has faced was being a survivor of sexual abuse by Dr. Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics team doctor. Simone Biles, along with other gymnasts, spoke publicly about the abuse and the failures of the organization to protect athletes. This experience has had a profound impact on her life and has motivated her to speak out against abuse and advocate for better protections for athletes.
It is also hard to balance things with her life and gymnastics.
Conclusion
Like I said Simone Biles is a very good gymnast even if some things were tough she never quit and continued. She is kind of like an American hero.
She is a big inspiration for a lot of gymnasts and even people who don’t do gymnastics are inspired by her.
